Q1.
What is the life of the system? |
Roughly 1.5 years as a guideline, based on our estimate of the durability of splice area of the rope. However, it is also dependent upon various scenarios as weather, tide, wave patterns and fouling conditions that change force elements upon the device.. Visual inspection guideline shall be provided to check the status.

Q2.
Is it possible to observe the system in motion? |
A visual description of the movement is available upon request. For further
information, please apply with our customer desk for a CDR of the system
in use.
|
Q3.
Is any particular device used for putting the system into motion? |
No. The system only uses the natural actions of marine ecology - wave,
tide and wind, and shell behavior |
Q4.
Is there any concern for marine contamination? |
No. The system acts in such a way as to remove the shell layers from the
outer to the inner in synchronization with the wave and tide movement,
which allows the fouling to return to sea without contaminating the water. |
Q5.
Does it not interfere with the courses of boats and ships? |
Not at all, as the system is leashed to the piles and marine structures
that are situated out of their ways. |
Q6.
Is the system prone to breakage or malfunction? |
No. There is no component of the system that is liable to breakage under
normal conditions and operation. |
Q7.
How deep can the system operate? |
Cleaning operation is possible not only on the top layer, but also up to
over 5 M of depth by using multiple layer systems. |
Q8.
Is there any damage caused to the steel pipe pile or structure? |
No. The system is designed to treat only the fouling and will not cause
any damage to the pile, pillar or structure to be cleaned. There is no
single component that can cause damage to the pile. |
Q9.
How soon can the fouling be removed? |
It depends on the level of fouling and the normal wave and tidal patterns
at the site. As a rough guideline under the normal weather condition and
operating environment, maximum timeframe is 2 to 3 months. It could be
as short as 10 days, as an actual example, under the wave height of 1.5M
and tidal difference of 70cm. |
